Purple Shoes
This 16 Days of Activism, we are putting purple shoes on display to remember the women and children whose lives have been impacted or lost to domestic and family violence.
Each pair of shoes represents a life, a story, a family and a future that matters. They are a visual reminder of the devastating impact of violence in our communities and the importance of standing together to say that violence is never acceptable.
Purple is the colour of the domestic and family violence awareness movement, representing courage, dignity and the fight for change.
We invite our community to pause, reflect and stand in solidarity with victim-survivors. Together, we can raise awareness, challenge violence and work towards a future where everyone feels safe.
The shoes are there to encourage conversations, increase awareness and show support for people affected by domestic and family violence.
