Staying Home Leaving Violence (SEWACS/Budjangal Support Services)

  • Covering the Bega Valley, Eurobodalla and Bombala Staying Home Leaving Violence provides case management support to women who have left a DV&F situation. sewacs.org.au

The NSW Domestic Violence Line provides counselling and referrals to women experiencing domestic and family violence. Available 24/7.

DVConnect Womensline

24-hour domestic violence hotline that offers free, professional assistance such as counselling, intervention, transport and emergency accommodation for people in danger from a violent partner or family member.

1800RESPECT is a national service providing confidential information, counselling and support to people impacted by sexual assault, domestic or family violence and abuse. (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

Sexual Assault Service Bega

A 24 hour crisis service for child and adult victims of sexual assault, and their non offending family members. Provides medical assessment, counselling and treatment to people who have experienced sexual assault, and preparation and support for legal and Court proceedings

Staying Home Leaving Violence provides case management support to women who have left a DV&F situation. Bega Valley Youth Homelessness Support Program for young people between the ages of 16 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Eurobodalla Crisis Accommodation Service incorporates emergency accommodation, outreach, transitional properties and a men’s outreach program

Link2home is the statewide homelessness information and referral telephone service. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.

Mission Australia Homelessness and Housing Support – Bega Valley

The Homelessness & Housing Support service – Bega Valley, NSW helps adults and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service includes a 4 bedroom crisis accommodation facility for women with or without children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to family and domestic violence, as well as tailored support, advocacy and outreach is provided.

Mental Health

Bega Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a place where you can go to get calm and culturally sensitive support if you are experiencing distress or suicidal thoughts. It is a safe place where you can talk openly about how you are feeling and what you’re going through. It is free and you don’t need an appointment. They encourage people 14 and up.

Bega Mental health hub offers mild – moderate mental health support for a 3-6 month period, with a no wrong door policy.

Headspace – Bega

Headspace Bega is committed to providing quality Mental Health, Alcohol and other Drugs, Sexual and Physical health and Vocational support services to young people aged 12 – 25. They also offer support to family and friends. The service operates out of the Bega Hub which has full disability access, and they also offer outpost services to Eden, and Cooma, and can arrange outreach to Merimbula and Bombala.

Tresillian’s Parent’s Help Line

The Nurses on our Tresillian Parent’s Help Line can help with advice around your baby’s sleep, feeding and development, providing information tailored to your needs and circumstances.

Parent Line NSW

Parent Line is a free telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers with children aged 0 to 18 who live in NSW.

Headspace

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health.

Men’s Referral Service

Free, anonymous, and confidential telephone counselling, information, and referrals for men to assist them to take action to stop using violent and controlling behaviour. Australian government funded.
